Hurricane Response and Recovery
Subcommittee
The Joint Legislative Commission on Governmental Operations will assess North Carolina’s hurricane recovery efforts from 2016 to present, with a major focus on Hurricane Helene in western North Carolina. The Subcommittee seeks to understand the implementation and administration of recovery programs to ensure that the recovery of western North Carolina is timely and efficient. The Subcommittee will also continue to monitor the recovery efforts from the damage caused by Hurricanes Matthew and Florence.
