Frequently Asked Questions

My governmental institution is required by legislation to submit a report to the Joint Legislative Commission on Governmental Operations. Where should I send the report?

Please send all required reports using the Submit Agency Reports and Consultations link which can be found on the Gov Ops page

How are topics and subcommittees selected?

The President Pro Tempore of the Senate and the Speaker of the House, who are Co-Chairs of the Commission, select topics.  The President Pro Tempore appoints Senate members to subcommittees and the Speaker appoints House members to subcommittees.

How do subcommittees work?

According to S.L. 2021-90, members do not need to be on the Commission to serve on a subcommittee. Once a subcommittee is established, it operates with the authority of the full Commission.
