Once approved by the legislator, the drafter submits a copy to the Bill Processing office of the Legislative Drafting Division. The Bill Processing office (1) proofreads and makes corrections to the bill as needed, (2) formats the bill , and (3) prepares an &#8220;e-jacket&#8221; that will document the sponsor(s) signature(s). The proposed bill bears a large &#8220;D&#8221; in the upper right-hand corner to denote that it is a draft copy. Once the bill draft is fully prepared, the Bill Processing office releases an electronic copy and accompanying e-jacket to the legislator.
